Purebase SHADE ADVANTAGE (WP) is a natural mineral plant protectant that reduces sunburn damage to plant tissue — including fruits and nuts — exposed to UV radiation. The protection is achieved through the reflection and diffusion of ultraviolet light and the dissipation of heat, which reduces stress on most plants.
It is made from the natural mineral kaolin, which is extracted, processed, milled, heat-treated and packaged for application to organic and non-organic agricultural crops.
Shade Advantage adheres to vascular tissue, fruit and wood electrostatically, without the need for surfactants or stickers. The particle barrier is designed to allow usable light through while blocking harmful infrared and ultraviolet light. Sprayed on dormant trees, it has the potential to increase chill hours.
